Past Reflection
First of all, it is my honor to enter the undergraduate study phase. In diploma learning. I went through a three-month internship. In these three months, I learned a lot of knowledge that I can not reach school. More practical knowledge. I need to be responsible for a lot of internships, for example, jewelry shop propaganda, I need to design some posters, leaflets. Where there are problems can be changed immediately. It is a very helpful experience.
Before the internship, we also need to make a resume, cover letters and prepare their portfolio. The design of the collection, before I never tried. So in the college portfolio, is my self-study slowly, I reference a lot of portfolio examples, different professional design. Each designer has its style. My style is relatively simple; portfolio style is the more concise, the better.
Portfolio Job seekers seek the job of the first weapon, but also the most important weapon, the portfolio does not do well, there are substantial interview skills, and communication skills is difficult to find a job. The failure of the portfolio determines your chance of getting an interview is zero. A good start is half the battle, and getting a good position starts with a good resume.
Aim of the term:
So in the undergraduate phase, I would like to start a resume design and change a design style. Before the portfolio, I think too simple, cannot reflect some of the design skills. After several years of study. My design skills should also improve.
My design plan:
1. Determine my position; I want to be a jewelry designer. Biased private jewelry designer. So I think that more is to showcase their jewelry design skills have been painting ability.
2. For cover pages, I want to keep the simple, but still a color, I will choose according to my design theme color.
3. For my resume, I would like to design a mini-poster, so that you can quickly pass in the interview.
4. Re-design your business card, more fit your theme of this portfolio.
Self reflection：
After six months of study, my portfolio should have a rough prototype. This time I accounted for a lot of portfolios does not understand the color element, compared to the last design, I think the card to a lot of professional. No longer a bit too simple as before. This time I would like to do a kind of magazine-style portfolio. Need some decoration to embellishment. Due to the relationship of a lot of time have not yet completed. For example, I plan to mini-posters. I want to put my resume, made into a small poster. It's a simplified version of the portfolio. The main works of pictures, as well as their basic information. I hope it can continue to complete a portfolio in the next six months.
